Vic: Five arrested in drug raids
A five-month police operation targeting heroin dealers has led to the arrests of five
people in Melbourne's west.
Major drug investigation division police executed six search warrants in suburban Maidstone,
Avondale Heights, Footscray, Glenroy and Braybrook yesterday afternoon.
They allegedly seized 112 marijuana plants at an address in Augustine Terrace, Glenroy,
and a large quantity of dried cannabis and cash at an address in Avern Avenue, Avondale
Heights.
Three men and one woman have been charged with trafficking commercial quantities of heroin.
A fourth man has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis and
trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis.
They're due to face Melbourne Magistrates Court tomorrow.
