TALKING OPERATIONS SEMINARS

The National Transportation Operations Coalition (NTOC) and ITE, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration's Office of Operations, are pleased to present the Talking Operations seminars. Talking Operations is a series of monthly seminars conducted via telephone and Internet and designed to introduce and educate stakeholders on current trends, tools and noteworthy practices in transportation management and operations and intelligent transportation systems.

The seminars are part of a larger outreach initiative by NTOC to provide technical assistance, training and information to assist transportation practitioners, decision-makers and the general public with meeting today's transportation challenges. With limited travel budgets and busy work schedules, it has become increasingly difficult for practitioners and decisionmakers to obtain the information needed to understand the current state of the practice and continue to provide services that are efficient and effective.

These seminars provide a convenient way for practitioners to broaden their knowledge base, develop new skills to help them do their jobs better and make more informed decisions, all at no cost to participate. The table below lists the next several seminar topics. Participation in the Talking Operations seminars will be limited to the first 100 registrants. Therefore, it is advised that multiple participants from a single agency/organization make arrangements to participate from one location (such as a conference room or meeting facility) to allow maximum participation.
