QLD:Long road to recovery for CQ cities

CAIRNS, Jan 12 AAP - As devastating floods sweep through southeast Queensland, two
previous epicentres of the state's flood crisis, Rockhampton and Emerald, have moved into
recovery mode.
Floodwaters are subsiding in Rockhampton, but very slowly.
The Fitzroy River has fallen to 8.9 metres, down from a peak of 9.2 last Wednesday,
with many homes in the low-lying suburb of Depot Hill are still inundated.
About 160 people are still in the city's evacuation centre, most of whom have been
